Ombre cake

There’s a trend right now of rainbow and ombre cakes, so I decided to make one. I decided on orange (hook ’em!) and took the easy way out with box cake mix and ready-made frosting. It was so cute!

The middles were thicker than the sides, so I had to fill the edges in with extra frosting. Then Mike said I could trim the middle, so the bottom two and fifth one I cut.

BAM!

Proud. Thanks Nguyen’s for the apron…when I started messing with the food coloring I realized how much I needed it!
