Mike’s parents came in town this weekend, and we had a fun-filled time!
They got in Friday night but it was pretty late, so we started our festivities Saturday morning. We headed over to their hotel for breakfast, then regrouped and took off to the Arboretum for their Family Fun weekend. It was so cute seeing all of the little kids in their costumes! We started with Louise in regular clothes but switched into her costume for a bit.
Miss Bossy Boots required escorts pretty much the whole time.
These two…inseparable. Seriously.
…then we changed her into her costume. My mom made all three pieces of Louise’s Little Red Riding Hood costume. It is ridiculous; I’m keeping it forever. Louise liked it too.
Sometimes Little Red Riding Hood’s just got to kick back in her tennies and have a snack of Goldfish, you know?
A couple of group shots!
After the Arboretum, we grabbed a hamburger at Jake’s and went home for Louise’s nap. Which she did not take. She NEVER takes a nap after the Arboretum…I don’t get it!
So in lieu of napping, we took her to Neiman Marcus Last Call while Mike worked out. Dr. Haydel walked around with her while Mrs. Haydel and I shopped. Once we got back to Richardson, we cleaned up and headed to Chuy’s for dinner with my parents. It was delicious as always. As we were walking out we noticed that it was POURING. Mike took one for the team and ran out to the car, drove it around, and my dad escorted each of us into the car with an umbrella. Louise thought the whole thing was a hoot.
Sunday we kicked off with breakfast at Cindi’s and some quality time with the grandparents.
We rounded out the day by looking at some houses. All in all it was a busy but really fun weekend!
