Playing Santa

This was our first year of really having any toys that needed assembly. Mike’s parents bought Louise a sweet play kitchen that came literally in wood strips, and Dominique got her a Cozy Coupe. “Santa” also bought Louise a bookshelf sling thing but it took about ten minutes to put together so that wasn’t a big deal.

After she went to bed Christmas Eve we got to work. It took us a little less than three hours for the kitchen and about an hour for Cozy Coupe (there was a lot of hammering at 12:30am…sorry, neighbors!).

We heard horror stories about assembling play kitchens so we were pleasantly surprised that it only took a couple of hours. The Cozy Coupe was a shocker though – we didn’t realize we had to put it together, and things weren’t labeled as clearly as the kitchen. Plus the hammering…

We did it though, and Louise was so cute Christmas morning. She spent time with each of her presents, but her favorite was clearly the Coupe. She even brought her other presents into the Coupe with her.
